Transforming Lives
Our intensive therapy program offers specialized support for children with Level 2 to Level 3 Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and medically fragile children. Over the course of four weeks, parents and their children will engage in comprehensive therapy sessions tailored to their specific needs.
-
Four days of intensive 1:1 therapy sessions, with each session lasting two hours.
-
Therapy sessions encompass a multi-disciplinary therapy team. Throughout these sessions, therapists work closely with parents to ensure a collaborative approach to treatment.
Additionally, one day of the week is dedicated to parent training and review. During this session, parents receive guidance on techniques learned during therapy sessions, review recorded videos of their child's progress, and receive homework assignments for continued skill generalization at home. This component of the program is facilitated via telehealth for convenience and accessibility.
Our program is structured into three levels of progression:
Level 1: Introductory to therapies and techniques. Therapists take the lead in conducting sessions.
Level 2: Parents actively participate in therapy sessions alongside therapists, gaining hands-on experience and learning techniques for continued practice at home to promote skill generalization.
Level 3: Parents independently conduct therapy sessions under the guidance and support of therapists present in the room. Therapists provide real-time corrections and ongoing support to ensure the effective implementation of learned techniques.
Our goal is to empower parents with the knowledge and skills necessary to support their child's development, fostering independence and success in their journey with ASD and medical fragility.
